Maiuri wrote that the great tepidarium with the hollow floor, now largely caved in, has the same system of podia and shelves around it as the apodyterium.
The mosaic pavement of somewhat coarse workmanship has a representation of a galloping triton with a helm and a basket of fruit surrounded by four dolphins (the same subject as in the women’s apodyterium).
