According to Maiuri, the outside wall of the upper storey was overthrown either by the earthquake accompanying the eruption or by the onslaught of the lave-flow. This means that now the interior of the rooms of the living quarters overlooking the street, can be seen from the street. The partition walls are still well decorated. There is a cubiculum which had a wooden bedstead, a candelabrum and a marble monopod (table support). See Maiuri, Amedeo, (1977).
